Game Day: Saturday, March 13, 2021

Game day notes:

  • Parental “no coaching” request:  A reminder that we ask parents to be their daughter’s biggest fans, but not their daughter’s game day coaches. We want to let players make their own decisions. Encouragement after a play is great (i.e., nice pass!), but direction during a play isn’t recommended (i.e., “shoot!” or “get the ball“).   • No jewelry reminder:  “No jewelry” is one of soccer’s rules. Link:  jewelry rule
  • Uniforms:  Players should wear their yellow uniforms. (They should also bring their blue uniforms in case of unexpected color conflicts.) We’ll use colored practice vests to distinguish teams in the intra-Academy game.
    • All players have received pink practice vests. They should bring them to every practice and game day.
  • Weekly quiz:  We post a quiz each week below the team assignments. Scroll past the roster table for quiz details.
  • Warm-up captains:  Girls whose names are in bold print with a (C) indicator are warm-up captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coach start pre-game warm-up. Link:  warm-up ideas
