The Allen Creek soccer complex is home of the Lanier Sharks. It’s located in Gainesville, north-east of the metro Atlanta area. (It’s a long drive from Cobb.) This is a large complex with multiple fields, concessions and restroom facilities.

Driving directions from NTH fields

Driving time is approximately 60 minutes from Metro North Park (start with step 2 below). Driving time is approximately 90 minutes from United Quest Park.

Via the interstates:

  1. Take I-75 South to exit #259A: I-285 East (Augusta/Greenville). The I-285 exit has 3 lanes; get in the center or right lane to head east.
  2. Take I-285 East to exit 33:  I-85 (the “spaghetti junction” interchange).
  3. Take I-85 North for about 17 miles to exit #113 (this is a left-side exit ramp):  SR 365 / I-985 / Lanier Parkway.
  4. Take I-985 North for 21-22 miles to exit 22:  SR 11 / US 129 / Athens Hwy / EE Butler Parkway.
  5. At the end of the ramp turn right onto US 129 / Athens Hwy and stay in the right lane for about 0.2 miles.
  6. Turn right at a traffic light onto Monroe Drive and go 1 mile.
  7. Turn left at the bottom of a long hill onto Allen Creek Road. The first entrance is on the right after about a tenth of a mile. Use this entrance for fields 5 and higher. There’s a second entrance 0.5 miles on the right for fields 1-4.

From UQP via local roads:

  1. Take Hawkins Store Road to Canton Road.
  2. Turn left (north) onto Canton Road and go 0.7 miles.
  3. Turn right onto Shallowford Road and go 3.8 miles.
  4. Turn left onto Sandy Plains Road and go 3.1 miles until it ends at Highway 92, also called Woodstock Road.
  5. Turn right onto Highway 92 (Woodstock Road). You’ll stay on this road for 7.1 miles until you reach GA Highway 400 (also called US 19). During this stretch, the road name changes to Crossville Road and Holcomb Bridge Road. As you approach GA 400, you’ll want to be in the left lane.
  6. Turn left onto the entrance ramp for GA Highway 400 North (US-19).
  7. Take GA 400 North for 22.5 miles until you reach SR-369:  Browns Bridge Road. There’s a traffic light at this intersection. (GA 400 transitions from an interstate-style highway with exit ramps into a regular state highway with traffic lights at this point.)
  8. Turn right (east) onto Browns Bridge Road and go 17.7 miles into Gainesville.
  9. Turn right (south) onto US-129 Bus / SR-11 and go 1.7 miles. This road is also called EE Butler Parkway. You’ll pass over I-985 near the end of this stretch.
  10. Turn right onto Monroe Drive and go 1 mile.
  11. Turn left at the bottom of a long hill onto Allen Creek Road. The first entrance is on the right after about a tenth of a mile. Use this entrance for fields 5 and higher. There’s a second entrance 0.5 miles on the right for fields 1-4.
