WordPress: create game day preview post

  1. WordPress: create a preview post (one weekend before the game day)
  2. Assign a slug: mon-DD-yyyy (ex: sep-10-2016)
  3. Category: Schedule / Game Days (primary)
  4. Schedule “Publish” date for an hour after the current week’s game day will be complete

Excel / Numbers: create rosters (Sunday before game day)

  1. Create a game day worksheet
  2. Arrange rosters
  3. Sort rosters by team, then by player’s last names

TablePress: create game day table (Sunday or Monday before game day)

  1. Create a roster table (copy a prior one, edit for new info)
  2. Update uniforms, location, warmup and kickoff times, opponent
  3. Copy / paste names from Excel / Numbers into TablePress
  4. Assign warm-up captains

WordPress: create game day page (Monday before game day)

  1. Create a game day page (copy / paste from a prior one)
  2. Parent: Schedules
  3. Embed the TablePress short code
  4. Assign a slug: “game-day-yyyy-mm-dd” (ex: game-day-2016-09-10)
  5. Update the weekly quiz
