The Mud Creek Soccer Park is located in west Cobb off Barrett Parkway (also known as the East-West Connector or West Cobb Parkway) between Dallas Highway and Powder Springs Road. The park has five fields. Fields 1 and 5 are small-sided fields with natural grass. Fields 2, 3, and 4 are full fields that were converted to artificial turf in 2018.

Mud Creek is a Cobb County Parks facility. The park has a playground, concession and restroom facilities, and a half-mile paved walking trail.

Driving time is approximately 30 minutes from both Metro North Park and United Quest Park. There are three popular ways to get there:

Through downtown Marietta

  1. Take Powder Springs Road west from the Marietta Square.
  2. Stay on Powder Springs Road for approximately 4.3 miles. You’ll pass County Services Road and Cheatham Hill Road.
  3. Bear right at a fork (major intersection with a Publix shopping center on the far right) onto Macland Road (GA 360W).
  4. Take Macland for 1.5 miles until you reach a major intersection with Barrett Parkway (also called the East-West Connector or West Cobb Parkway).
  5. Turn left onto Barrett Parkway. The Mud Creek complex is on the right after 0.5 miles.

Via I-75 / Delk Road

  1. Take I-75 to exit #261:  Delk Road/Highway 280.
  2. Turn right (west) onto Delk Road toward Dobbins AFB / Lockheed. From the I-75 interchange, you’ll stay on Delk Road approximately 4.4 miles. The road name changes to South Cobb Drive during this stretch. You’ll pass Dobbins AFB, Lockheed and the Atlanta Road train overpass. Look for Chattahoochee Tech on the right and McDonald’s on the left as the final landmarks before the next turn.
  3. Turn right at a traffic light onto Booth Road.
  4. Take Booth Road for about a quarter mile to the intersection with Sandtown Road.
  5. Turn right onto Sandtown and go approximately 0.7 miles until it ends at a large intersection with Powder Springs Road.
  6. Turn left onto Powder Springs Road.
  7. Take Powder Springs Road for approximately 3 miles. You’ll pass County Services Road and Cheatham Hill Road.
  8. Bear right at a fork (major intersection with a Public shopping center on the far right) onto Macland Road (GA 360W).

Through West Marietta

  1. Take Barrett Parkway (a.k.a. Ridgeway) west toward Dallas Highway (Hwy 120).
  2. Stay on Barrett past its intersection with Dallas Highway for an additional 4.1 miles. Some maps may show Barrett being called West Cobb Parkway or the East-West Connector.
  3. During this stretch, you’ll cross a major intersection with Macland Road. The Mud Creek complex is on the right about 0.5 miles past the Macland Road intersection.

Notes

  • Fields are numbered starting from the left of the entrance. The field on the far left is #1, the next is #2, etc. The field on the right side of the entrance is #5.
  • When you exit the park, you can only turn right (south) onto Barrett Parkway heading toward Powder Springs Road. If you need to head north, there’s a U-turn opportunity 0.5 miles from the exit. Another option:  There’s a gated neighborhood road off the park exit road that is occasionally open. This is West Sandtown Road, which leads to Macland Road.
