Rosters
- Every available girl will play each game day. We play multiple games each game day, with each girl usually playing one game. Link: game day procedures and guidelines
- Exception: We have games scheduled both Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15. Most girls will play Saturday, but some will play Sunday instead.
- We post game day rosters each Monday night before the upcoming weekend games. You can click the link in the Date column to see that date’s rosters and schedules.
- We’ll combine girls from both Metro North Park and United Quest Park on game days.
- Coaches will handle roster assignments; we may not be able to honor individual roster / game time requests. Link: schedule requests
Game formats
- We will have a mix of 4v4, 5v5 and 7v7 games during the spring season. We’ll also have a mix of intra-Academy games, games against the NTH Buckhead branch, and games against other Atlanta-area clubs. We’ll play with goalkeepers in 5v5 and 7v7 games. The offside rule will apply in 7v7 games.
DH players
We will likely have some game days when we’ll need some players to play twice, or what we call “DH” (double-header) duty. Link: double-header play
Limited Sunday play
We have one partial Sunday game day: we have a single game on Sunday, April 15. There’s a chance a Sunday game day could be added for rain-out make-ups.
Schedule conflicts
Please let us know as early as possible about any game day schedule conflicts. (E-mail to Ward is the preferred method.) We can work around most conflicts as long as we know about them by the weekend ahead of the game day.
Tournaments
We won’t play any 2-day pre-season tournaments.
We plan to play in the NTH Adidas Cup the weekend of May 19-20, 2018. This is a big tournament that typically hosts hundreds of teams from local and other areas, ages U8 up through U19, with each team playing 3-4 games over the weekend. This will be our final event of the spring season.
Depending on the number of U8 entrants, we may roster all of our girls, or only the girls with 2010 birth years. (We’ve found that it’s rare for Junior Academy or pre-Academy programs at other clubs to include girls with 2011 birth years.)
