Our March 18 game day has us split between two venues. We have a morning game in Duluth, followed by afternoon games at Metro North Park.
Game day notes:
- Two venues: We start with a morning 7v7 game at Scott Hudgens Park in Duluth. We follow this with three afternoon 5v5 games at Metro North Park on the Tops field.
- “DH” girls needed: We have room for a few girls to play twice, also called double-header (DH) duty. If your daughter is scheduled to play at 12:45 or 2:00, but is available to play again at 3:15, please e-mail Ward.
- About 7v7 games: We created a help guide to 7v7 positional play and team shape: the leap to 7v7 soccer.
- Player requirements: Shin guards are required, and must be covered by soccer socks.
- Player no-nos:
- No jewelry (see rules about jewelry).
- No hard or sharp hair accessories like large plastic clips, metal hair clips or beads.
- No bubble gum or chewing gum.
- Warm-up captains: Girls whose names are in bold print with a (C) indicator are warm-up captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coach start pre-game warm-up. Link: warm-up ideas
- Supportive parent tips:
- Be your daughter’s biggest fan.
- Be the other girls’ 2nd biggest fan.
- Please allow the girls to make their own decisions.
