Plan B scrimmages:
All of our originally scheduled games have been canceled due to soggy grass fields. We were able to reserve the Metro Tops field from 1:00-3:00 PM for plan B scrimmages. Here’s the plan:
- Girls who were scheduled to play at 10:15 will play from 1-2 PM. (Arrive at 12:45)
- Girls who were scheduled to play at 12:00 or later will play from 2-3 PM. (Arrive at 1:45)
- If your daughter is only able to attend the other time slot, she can still play.
- Girls should wear their blue uniforms, with either blue socks or crazy socks.

Saturday, March 25 @ 10:00 AM: River Line Park fields have been closed for the day, so our afternoon away games have been canceled. We are checking on open space at the Metro North Tops field for plan B scrimmages. If we are able to arrange space, we’ll post a Twitter update and also send a group e-mail.
Saturday, March 25 @ 6:55 AM: All games before noon on grass fields have been cancelled. All 12:00 and later games will be reevaluated at 10:00. What this means to us: Our 7v7 game at Noonday is canceled. Check back at 10 AM for an update about our afternoon games at River Line Park.
Our March 25 game day has us split between two venues. If your daughter is scheduled for the 10:15 AM game at Noonday Park, be sure to open the link to check the note about accessing the entrance to the back fields.
Game day notes:
- Two venues: We start with a morning 7v7 game at Noonday Park adjacent to Quest Park. We follow this with three afternoon 5v5 games at River Line Park in Mableton / Smyrna.
“DH” girls needed: We may have room for 2-3 girls to play twice, also called double-header (DH) duty. Ideal candidates: One player from the 12:00 game to play again at 1:30, and 1-2 players from the 1:30 game to play again at 3:00. If your daughter fits the profile and is interested in playing twice, please e-mail Ward.- About 7v7 games: We created a help guide to 7v7 positional play and team shape: the leap to 7v7 soccer.
- Player requirements: Shin guards are required, and must be covered by soccer socks.
- Player no-nos:
- No jewelry (see rules about jewelry).
- No hard or sharp hair accessories like large plastic clips, metal hair clips or beads.
- No bubble gum or chewing gum.
- Warm-up captains: Girls whose names are in bold print with a (C) indicator are warm-up captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coach start pre-game warm-up. Link: warm-up ideas
- Supportive parent tips:
- Be your daughter’s biggest fan.
- Be the other girls’ 2nd biggest fan.
- Please allow the girls to make their own decisions.
