Home assignment #4 (spring 2017)

By | April 10, 2017

Passing: plant foot in position

Passing: inside of the foot

Skill:  Passing and shooting with the inside of the foot, also called ball striking. Everyone likes to score goals! You’ll score more goals if you can make firm, accurate shots. And your team will score more often if you can make firm, accurate passes.

This skill looks easy. It isn’t! There are a lot of little things you have to do right to get good results. But if you practice enough, you’ll learn to stay balanced and get your feet working properly, and it will become easy. So work hard and stay determined, and you’ll get it! We recommend practicing with a wall or a rebounder to get lots of repetitions. Don’t forget to work both feet!

If you get bored working by yourself, play a partner game with your mom or dad or sister or brother. Soccer golf, passing marbles and Slam! are fun partner ball striking games. Check our Passing and Receiving Games page for more details and other passing games.

Challenge:  If you practice enough, maybe you can beat a coach in soccer golf or wall slam!
