We take a short trip to the Tophat Buckhead fields (hopefully with some Halloween ghosts) on Saturday, October 29 for late morning and afternoon games against the Tophat Buckhead girls and the Tophat Smyrna girls.
Update from Monday, Oct. 24 @ 9 PM: Team assignments are still delayed. As of Monday night, we’re still waiting for certain game confirmation details before we post team assignments. We know game times and locations, but we have not yet received info on team playing levels. We have messages in to the two people who have the info we need, but we have not yet received a reply.
Why does this matter? Match-ups affect competitive balance. If we randomly create rosters, we could end up with a lower level team playing a higher level team, or vice versa. This would likely lead to a one-sided game. We’re waiting for relative team strength info for our match-ups so we can field teams that should be competitive with each other.
