We reserved a field to ring in the new year with informal Happy New Year scrimmages on Friday, December 31, 2021. The event will run from 11:30 AM until 1:15 PM at Metro North Park on the TOPS field (our usual practice and game field).
This is an optional “come if you can” event that’s open to all Junior Academy Girls from our Metro North Park and United Quest Park locations. If your daughter has been recruited to help train the new First Doggie, don’t cancel those plans!
Please e-mail Ward by Wednesday night if your daughter is available to play. You don’t need to respond if she isn’t available.

As of Thursday night Dec. 30, the Friday forecast calls for warm temperatures (mid 60s) and a 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms. Rain isn’t an issue, but thunder or lightning would stop us. We’ll make a final call Friday morning by 9:30 AM. Possible outcomes:
- Plan A: Play as originally scheduled. We’ll go this route if Friday’s weather looks playable.
- Plan B: Postpone until Saturday, January 1, same 11:30 AM - 1:15 PM time slot. We’ll go this route if Friday’s weather looks unplayable. (Saturday’s weather forecast currently calls for upper 60s with a small chance of showers, but no thunderstorms.)
