Game day notes:
- About game days: Our first game day is a new step in our soccer journey. We ask that parents and their daughters spend 10 minutes together learning about what happens on game days, along with understanding player and parent responsibilities and guidelines. - Uniforms: Players should wear their yellow uniforms.
- Uniform not yet delivered? Your daughter should wear a light colored shirt (a practice shirt will work), with light colored shorts.
- Teams: We’ll split each group into two teams after warm-ups. We’ll use practice vests to distinguish teams. This allows us to easily move players around if needed to keep competitive balance.
- Double-header players needed: We have room for some girls to play twice, what we call double-header (DH) play. We’re looking for five girls who are currently scheduled in the 10:15 AM game to also play at 9:00, and two girls to also play at 11:30. If your daughter is scheduled to play at 10:15 AM, but is also available / interested in playing another game at 9:00 or 11:30, please e-mail Ward. (Please specify the time slot you are requesting.) If DH spots are over-subscribed, we’ll go with first-come, first-served priority.
- Player no-nos:
- No jewelry (see rules about jewelry.)
- Don’t wear hard or sharp hair accessories like large plastic clips, metal hair clips or beads.
- Don’t bring gum.
- Hydration: It’s likely to be hot Saturday, so it’s time for a reminder about hydration. Link: hydration tips
- Warm-up captains: Girls whose names are in bold print with a (C) indicator are warm-up captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coach start pre-game warm-up. Link: warm-up ideas
