Parents went through a registration process in June that involved the NASA Tophat PlayMetrics system. There are three additional player eligibility requirements that need to be completed via a different system known as GotSport.
GotSport handles player eligibility confirmation for inter-league play. It’s not a NASA Tophat system like PlayMetrics, but it’s required for large clubs which field teams in multiple leagues.

GotSport player eligibility requirements:
You’ll submit three items on-line through GotSport’s web site:
- Upload a player photo: head and shoulders, plain background, uniform not required. GotSport isn’t integrated with PlayMetrics, so the player photo you uploaded through PlayMetrics doesn’t automatically transfer into the GotSport system.
- Upload a player’s proof of birth: birth certificate or passport.
- Complete the R002 waiver / release / consent form: available on-line.
NASA Tophat has created a PDF guide that walks you through the process. Link: NTH-2022-2023-Got-Sport-Player-Requirements. The PDF refers to five requirements, but items #4 and #5 only apply to adult-aged players.
Tips:
- Open the PDF file in one window, and open the GotSport web site in another window. This can help you confirm details. (GotSport’s user interface is tricky, and there are some situations where the interface makes it seem easier to fail than to succeed. GotSport offers support (via a blue button in the lower left of the screen). Our limited experience with their support personnel has been good.
- For GotSport player registration purposes, our Junior Academy players are classified as Academy U8-U12, not Girls Academy.
- Make sure your daughter’s name in the GotSport system matches the name on her birth certificate or passport.
- Make sure your daughter is classified as a player, not as a parent.
- Make sure parents are classified as family members, not as players.
- Document repository for the proof of birth: select US Club Soccer, not NASA Tophat. (See bottom of page 1 in the help guide.)
GotSport player status:
We check our GotSport-approved roster daily and update the list below as players are approved. If your daughter is not yet GotSport-approved, she can still attend practices and team camp while you wait for GotSport approval. GotSport eligibility applies to inter-league play. Our practices and camp (and the majority of our games) are intra-league, not inter-league.
Our Junior Academy Girls coaches don’t have clearance to check individual player submissions. If you have questions about your daughter’s GotSport account, you can contact GotSport support: look for the blue Support button in the lower left of the GotSport window.
