March 13 update: This event has been canceled. Cobb County Schools will shut down as of March 16 for at least two weeks due to Coronavirus concerns. The shut-down includes canceling school athletic events.
Our Junior Academy Girls have been invited to serve as player escorts / anthem buddies for the Lassiter and Campbell varsity girls teams before their Tuesday, March 24, 2020 match at Lassiter High School. (Both teams include a bunch of NTH Academy alumni.)
Details are not yet fully locked down, but here’s what we expect:
- This event will replace our regular Tuesday practice.
- Girls should wear their yellow game day uniforms.
- Girls should arrive at the Lassiter stadium by 5:00 PM.
- Our Junior Academy Girls get in free. Parents pay an admission fee (we hear it’s $5 per parent).
- Girls will be partnered with players from each team as the players are introduced and walk out to the center of the field for the National Anthem.
- Girls will get to play a mini half-time game on the stadium field.
Response needed:
Please e-mail Ward to let him know if your daughter is available to participate. We’re looking for 22 players to participate. Depending on numbers, we may have room for some older NTH Academy sisters to participate. If you have an older daughter who would like to participate (if needed), also include that info. Deadline: Tuesday, March 10 @ noon
