NTH soccer activities are suspended due to Coronavirus (March 12, 2020)

By | March 12, 2020

March 12, 2020:  NASA Tophat administration released the following statement this afternoon:

Effective immediately, NASA Tophat, Inc. has suspended all operations as a precaution against the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). This decision was made in order to limit potential exposure to the Coronavirus and to best protect the health and well-being of all individuals participating or attending NTH games and events.

NTH has been closely monitoring the public health developments across the country and communicating with other local clubs, US Soccer, and US Club as part of our response.  We will continue to monitor and communicate as the situation evolves.

To clarify this means no games or training effective immediately until further notice.

What does this mean for our Junior Academy Girls group?

  • We won’t have our regular practice sessions until further notice. We encourage the girls to stay active, though, and we’ll post suggested play at home activities (with video demos) each Monday. Check our News section for updates.
  • Game days are canceled until further notice.
  • The March 24 Lassiter High School event has been canceled. Cobb County Schools will shut down as of March 16 for at least two weeks. The shut-down includes canceling school athletic events.

When is our next event?

We don’t know. Smarter people than us will make that decision. Once we have a date, we’ll update all of our usual Junior Academy Girls communication channels.
