We reserved a field for our traditional King Holiday scrimmages on Monday, January 17, 2022. The event will run from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Metro North Park on the TOPS field (our usual practice and game field).
This is an optional “come if you can” event that’s open to all Junior Academy Girls from our Metro North Park and United Quest Park locations. If your daughter has been recruited to review snorkeling gear at Xel-Há in the Yucatan peninsula, don’t cancel those plans!

2022 King Holiday scrimmages:

| Uniforms: | Blue game day uniforms with either blue socks or crazy socks. Warm-up pants are allowed. If girls wear warm-up pants, they should tuck the lower leg segments into their socks. The pants will look like knickers. (This is a safety precaution. Most youth warm-up pants are too long. It's easy for someone to accidentally step on the too-long warm-up pants and cause a sudden and unexpected fall. Tucking the lower pants legs into the soccer socks eliminates that risk.) |
| Weather: | The current Monday forecast calls for cold but dry conditions, with wind chill in the upper 20s. If the girls dress properly, they'll be cold when they arrive, but they'll be fine once we go through our warm-up activities. Link: cold weather tips |
